Drawing on Zoom sessions are 90 minutes, once per month on a Tuesday evening 7-8.30pm UK time. Sessions include an introduction and sometimes a short demonstration about a particular topic followed by some shorter, warm up exercises and some longer, more focussed exercises. These sessions are recorded and if you book the live session you will receive the recording the following day or if you miss the live session you can purchase the recording afterwards. We usually switch off the recording at the end of live sessions and have a Q&A session and general chat and anyone who wishes to can share their work. All levels are welcome! Zoom link and other useful information will be sent out 24 hours before the live session. See you then!

For this session on Wintry Landscapes I would recommend working on paper with any drawing materials with a focus on temperatures using a range of cooler and warmer tones together will help draw out a sense of winter. If you aren’t sure about which colours are warm or cool (and it’s harder than most people think!) don’t worry we will discuss colour in the session. Charcoal, soft pastels and pencil in a range of cooler landscape colours would be great if you have them but please just work with what you have! Useful also would be a wide, flat brush like this one if you have one for blending or some tissues or an old cloth would be fine too.
